I went to my lovely freind Arthur's exhibition the other day, he uses really oldschool techniques in his photography, which I don't think there is enough people doing anymore. More info here and one can also buy his work at 20ltd. His photographs are beautiful.
I'm very bummed to have missed Ann's show this season, her shows are always very inspiring, and the music is always great. Anyways, I do think it looks great. I love the use of red, (red is one of the few colours I use) and the feathers, they are so beautiful, it seems she is quite taken with birds of late. The collection does feel quite cut down somehow, no boys in this one, and it feels like less outfits than before. Very quiet contrasted with the very strong and hard colours and textures... There are some amazing things in there, though. Strong, hard, quietly fragile.
I did this mini gig last week, as part of a Music meets Art meets Design project, I played a couple of my songs alongside Marie Kristiansen 's projected images. Thanks to Aleks and Ottar from Gerilja for helping me out!! Theres a couple of vids from it here on my Myspace. Check back for more music and news soon!
I went to see my friends Gerilja at the Oslo ByLarm festival on Saturday, and it was fucking brilliant. I had never seen them live before, so I was very excited to discover how explosive and well they played. Gerilja won in 2008 The Zoom Urort (untouched) prize, and their music, described in their own words as rockfunktrashpsychedelic, is RAD. Their new EP, Pink Slush Twilight, is out soon, and I have a copy of it which I will be writing about later! Check out their Myspace page, and make sure to see them live sometime. The sound in the video below is shit...
